History of My Mosque

Our mosque was established in 1998 by a small group of local families who came together with the shared dream of creating a dedicated space for prayer, learning, and community growth. Initially, Friday prayers and gatherings were held in a rented hall, but as the community steadily grew, so did the vision. Through collective effort and generous donations, the mosque officially opened its doors in 2001 in a modest building that quickly became the heart of Muslim life in the area. In 2010, a refurbishment project was completed to include better wudu facilities, a women’s prayer area, and additional classrooms for the Madressah. By 2016, the mosque began offering online services and broader community programmes, reflecting a commitment to inclusivity and modern accessibility.

A Message from Our Imam

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,
It is an honour to serve this beautiful and growing community. Our mosque is more than just a place of prayer—it is a home for every heart seeking connection with Allah and with each other. I invite you all to be part of our journey in nurturing faith, spreading knowledge, and building a community grounded in compassion and unity. May Allah continue to guide and bless us all.

- Imam Ahmed Farooq

Our Core Beliefs

A mosque is more than a place of prayer — it is the heart of a community. These are the values that guide our mission.

Faith as Foundation

Everything begins with Tawheed — the belief in the Oneness of Allah. Our mosque stands as a symbol of spiritual grounding for all who enter.

Knowledge with Humility

We believe in seeking knowledge with open hearts and minds. Our community is built on a shared love for Islamic teachings.

Embracing Diversity

As a UK-based mosque, we welcome people from all backgrounds, cultures, and languages. Our strength lies in our unity and mutual respect.

Open Hearts & Doors

We foster dialogue, listening, and connection — between generations, between neighbours, and between faiths. Everyone is welcome here.

A Place of Peace & Awareness

The mosque is a sanctuary — for worship, for rest, for renewal. We strive to be a place of comfort, healing, and spiritual peace.

Nurturing Generation

Our future lies in our youth. We are committed to building an environment where children and young people grow with Islamic values, confidence, and purpose.
